Empowerment of Imams of Jama’ah

Presence of worthy and efficient clergy as Imam, manager and leader in mosques of Tehran state is one of cardinal pivots of ISM. Such Imam with these characters is ideal for strategic program of mosques. In fact the mentioned issue is base and requisite to implement the policies and development of mosques because of his important role in management of mosques and positive communication with people.

Now, we are far from this ideal condition because of various problems such as lack in number of Imams, their ability, welfare condition and their dignity in mosques. Hence, empowerment of Imams is an important and strategic issue.

 

First pivot: employment of eligible Imams of Jama’ah

 

1)      Administrative policies:

¤ Recognition the responsibility of Imam of Jama’ah as an proficiency and his eligibility

¤ Creation of employment and selection system with eligibility conditions

¤ Coordination with seminaries for fulfillment of Imams of Jama’ah after passing the special training course

¤ Replacement of retiree or inefficient Imams of Jama’ah with alternative one according to their feedback report

¤ fulfill qualified deputies for Imams of Jama’ah

 

2)      Fundamental proceedings:

¤ Definition the characters of an ideal Imam of Jama’ah as pattern

¤ Creation of employment end selection system of Imams of Jama’ah

¤ Adoption of Imams of Jama’ah with ideal condition

¤ Implementation of training course for future Imams of Jama’ah in seminaries

¤ Implementation of special workshop courses in privileged mosques

¤ Employment, selection and folder completion of deputies

 

Second pivot: Eligibility improvement in various aspects such as personal characters and scientific, moral and management abilities

 

Administrative policies:

¤ Improvement of Imams of Jama’ah by using of workshop methods and distance education in privileged mosques

¤ Emphasis on improvement of communication and management skills and the level of general information of Imams of Jama’ah

¤ Lectures on moral sciences in theory and practice by using of famous professors and teachers

¤ Using of effective and supportive encourages

¤ Empowerment of eligible institutions in order to provide special useful and skillful training

 

Fundamental proceedings:

¤ measuring competency of competence of Imams of Jama’ah

¤ Training courses in public, managerial and communicative skills within workshops

¤ Lectures on moral sciences

¤ Preparation and post of educational booklets and books to transfer of experiences

¤ Development and empowerment of educational institutions for Imams of Jama’ah

 

Third pivot: improvement of welfare conditions and required support

Administrative policies:

¤ Supportive financial programs such as loans, insurance, marriage grant and sportive facilities

¤ Spiritual and legal support for Imams of Jama’ah and their families

 ¤ Special support for families of Imams of Jama’ah who are dead, disable or the martyr Imams

 

Fundamental proceedings:

¤ Evaluation of subsistence and welfare conditions of Imams of jama’ah

¤ Support and reverence for Imams of Jama’ah

¤ Reverence for famous Imams of Jama’ah and the families of Imams of Jama’ah who are dead

¤ Establishment of foundation or fund to support Imams of Jama’ah and activists of mosques

 

Fourth pivot: dignity improvement of mosque manager

 

Administrative policies:

¤ Deposition and appointment of mosques activists by Imam’s recommendation

¤ Emphasis on doing financial affairs with Imam’s consent and under their serious and effective authority

¤ Use of qualified deputy for Imam in required and emergency cases

¤ Support for creation of cultural council of mosques with presidency of Imam

 

Fundamental proceedings:

¤ Compilation and implementation of bylaw for employment and evaluation of trustees and servants performance

¤ Creation of cultural council of mosques with presidency of Imam

¤ trustees and servants training (for mosque)
