Dashti Mosque of Isfahan

 6/25/2014

This building is located in southern shore of Zayandeh Rood and 18km far from Isfahan and its architecture is similar to Aziran and Ka’aj Mosques. The mosque includes a 14m*14m room within a balcony (10m width * 5.4m depth) which is located in front of the room.

The square shaped room has three arched gateway in north, east and west sides and also a bricked mehrab in south side. The base of dome also is square shaped within eight big arches in down part and sixteen windows in up part. There had been some minarets in northern corners of the mosque which are destructed. This mosque doesn’t have any special design or inscription. Just there is some brickwork and tile work on exterior side of the balcony.
