Hojatieh Mosque of Khoy

Hojatieh mosque is located in the north east side of the stone gate. That’s why the structural form of this mosque is similar to old urban fabric of Khoy. The exact history of its constructing is not overt according to available evidences it could be built in Qajar era. The plan of this mosque is square-shaped with eight circle domes which are made of bricks.

There are four octagon-shaped stony columns in center of the building which hold the domes. Two very attractive and beautiful inscriptions are installed in both sides of the Mehrab which show the Surahs of Quran. This mosque is categorized under single minaret mosques division of Iran. Height of this majestic minaret is more than 12m.
