Pir Hussein Mosque of Yazd

This building is located in Aharestan District of Yazd and its history backs to 9th Hijri Century which was built by Khajeh Pir Hussein Damqani. The present building of the mosque is composed of courtyard, dome room and shabestan. The balcony of the building is elevated which has a deep arch in south west side and low deep arches in the other sides. The one layer dome of the building is installed on big arcs and some other three-corners arcs. The interior of the building is plastered and just some hexagonal tiles are used in plinths of the mehrab. These tiles are made in 9th Hijri Century which some of them are remained now. The winter shabestan of the mosque is rectangular and has five harnesses which was built in 822 Hijri.
