He was born in 1940 (Qom County) and migrated to Tehran in 1942 with his father, Haj Sayyed Ali Mohammad majd. He started to learn Islamic sciences from his father till 1952 and then, went to Qom to continue his studies in Qom Seminary by attending the lectures of Ayatollah Boroujerdi, Imam Khomeini, Allameh Tabatabaei, Ayatollah Golpayegani, Ayatollah Mar’ashi Najafi, Haj Sheikh Morteza Haeri and Ayatollah Sultani Tabatabaei and finally he could obtained Ijtihad from this seminary and started to teach in universities and seminaries. He was appointed as the Imam of Zarabkhaneh Jame Mosque by Ayatollah Golpayegani’s order in 1976.
He established the scientific-cultural centre, Quran and Itrat Institute, loan fund, Ansarul Mahdi charitable fund, cooperative shop, educational complex, Basij, website and health care complex for this mosque.
