A’azam Mosque of Ardabil

 6/8/2014

This is one of the most important and vastest mosques of Ardabil province which belongs to Qajar era. But because of reconstructing of the main building, most of its historical parts are changed and only its dome is almost similar to Sheikh Safi’s holly shrine dome.
The prayers hall is vast and its minaret height is more than 11m is located in northwest of the prayers hall. Bricks, tiles and Mogharnas works are used in designing the minaret. The minaret is older than the building of the mosque.
